The Boys Released By AEW After No-Showing Shows

The Boys were released by AEW/ROH after no-showing events

The recent All Elite Wrestling/Ring of Honor talent releases came as a surprise to many, with the company not previously known for mass roster cuts.

Two of the more surprising names on the list of releases were that of The Boys aka Brandon and Brent Tate, with The Boys currently a focal point of the ROH feud between Dalton Castle and Johnny TV. When asked about their release during the pre-Supercard of Honor XVII media call, AEW/ROH President Tony Khan revealed he had released the pair due to no-shows:

"These are all very different situations. I think Dalton and Johnny have been very creative. I’ve really enjoyed Dalton and Johnny working together, and this came at a time after Dalton had just custody of The Boys on ROH TV. The rivalry between Dalton and Johnny has been tremendous, and I’m really looking forward to the Fight Without Honor. To be honest, they didn’t show up for work on more than one occasion, and it’s not acceptable. I think the whole locker room knew about it, and you can’t do that, and that’s it, and that’s why I had to make a tough call," said Khan.

Both Brandon and Brent have taken to X/Twitter to deny Khan’s version of events.
