The Briscoes Comment On Possibly Signing With WWE

Dem Boys are currently free agents

Former multiple-time Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions the Briscoes have commented on the possibility of signing with WWE.

Jay and Mark, who are currently free agents after they were released from their ROH contracts last year, recently spoke with Busted Open Radio about the subject.

On how they think they'd fare in WWE, the brothers said:

Jay: "I mean, I think that we would definitely survive. Because at the end of the day, you've got to get in that ring and ring the bell".

Mark: "I think that we would survive and thrive. Vince McMahon likes money, and shoot when we get in-between those ropes, that’s what we are going to do, we are going to make your company money. I think that's the bottom line, not trying to sound cocky or anything".

Jay: "We are very confident in our abilities, especially right now we are at the top of our game. So, really man, anywhere we go, we are going to definitely, like he said, survive and thrive"

Dem Boys further stated that WWE needs their strong fighting style in their division.

The Briscoes previously had a WWE tryout in November 2009 but were not signed, despite being invited to a follow-up week-long tryout camp.

Commenting on the possibility of WWE signing them in October 2021, Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio said:

"I don't think WWE would take the Briscoes, perhaps they would at this point. They wouldn't years ago, because Jay Briscoe once tweeted a homophobic remark, very homophobic remark which wouldn't be a good thing, but I don't know if you hold that against him for the rest of his life".

Jay has in the past referenced how WWE didn't find the brothers 'cosmetically pleasing' enough to appear on their television show.
