The Briscoes Revealed As First Inductees Into ROH Hall Of Fame

Dem Boys are going to be Hall Of Famers

The Briscoes are the first inductees into the Ring Of Honor Hall Of Fame, the promotion announced today

In a press release, ROH noted "there couldn't be a more fitting choice for the first inductees" and The Briscoes "have been the heart and soul of ROH and emblematic of the company's standard of excellence inside the squared circle."

The Briscoes have been a part of Ring Of Honor since the promotion's inaugural show - The Era Of Honor Begins - on February 23, 2002, with Jay competing in the first-ever ROH singles match with Mark in his corner against The Amazing Red.

Since then, Mark and Jay have achieved considerable success as a tag team and in singles competition. The Briscoes are 12-time ROH World Tag Team Champions, while Jay is also a two-time ROH World Champion. The Briscoes have also been two-thirds of the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions on one occasion.

Following today's announcement, a career retrospective on The Briscoes will air on this weekend's edition of Ring Of Honor Wrestling. A YouTube special on The Briscoes will also be uploaded on Monday, February 7.

Three further inductees into the ROH Hall Of Fame will be announced in the coming weeks on February 7, February 14 and February 21. A special Hall Of Fame episode of ROH Wrestling will then air on March 5.
