The Great Muta's Final NJPW Match Revealed

One final NJPW match for Great Muta

The Great Muta will have one more match in New Japan Pro-Wrestling before Keiji Muto's retirement in February 2023.

It was announced today that Muta will team with Toru Yano and Kazuchika Okada to take on The United Empire's Great-O-Khan, Jeff Cobb, and Aaron Henare at the NJPW x Stardom Historic X-Over pay-per-view on November 20.

Muta's match was booked after he returned to NJPW at the October 26 Battle Autumn show and misted Great-O-Khan, costing him his NJPW World TV Title tournament match with Toru Yano. The Sublime Master Thief advanced to the quarter-finals due to his win.

Muta declared backstage that he was hungry and wanted to "kill" O-Khan following his return. The United Empire member teamed with Great Muta and Nosawa RONGAI on September 3 in Pro Wrestling NOAH as part of Muto's retirement tour.

This will be Muta's first match in NJPW since Wrestle Kingdom 8 when he and Toru Yano defeated Minoru Suzuki and Shelton Benjamin. Muta performed as Keiji Muto as part of NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 16 earlier this year.

Other matches set for Historic X-Over include KAIRI vs. Mayu Iwatani for the IWGP Women's Title, and Hiroshi Tanahashi & Utami Hayashishita vs. Hirooki Goto & Maika.
