The Grizzled Young Veterans Return To WWE NXT

More British Superstars head across the pond...

While they were previously stuck in the United Kingdom because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, British wrestlers have started to make their way across the pond in recent weeks. Pete Dunne returned to NXT in late October and PAC made his presence felt on AEW: Dynamite not long after.

More British Superstars returned to the black and gold brand on last night's NXT and The Grizzled Young Veterans attacked Ever-Rise from behind before Chase Parker & Matt Martel's scheduled match. Zack Gibson then declared he and James Drake were back and on the hunt for a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championship.

The oxymoron tag team are relatively new to NXT. Gibson and Drake have spent much of their WWE run in NXT UK, but they debuted on the black and gold brand earlier this year during the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. They made it to the final of the tournament but were ultimately defeated by The BroserWeights.

Liverpool's Number One and Drake then had a couple of more matches in NXT before the pandemic struck, but last night was their first appearance since February 26.
