Hikaru Shida competed on Dynamite for the first time since Full Gear last night and defended the AEW Women's World Championship against Anna Jay. 99 of The Dark Order fought as hard as she could, but Shida ultimately picked up the win after connecting with the Running Knee.
The champion didn't have long to celebrate, though, as Abadon returned to Dynamite and forced Shida to scurry from the ramp in fear. The Comical Ace then looked on terrified as The Living Dead Girl picked up the title belt and licked it, making it clear she wants a shot at the championship sooner rather than later.
This was Abadon's first appearance on Dynamite since she suffered a scary injury at the October 22 tapings. The AEW star took an elbow to the throat during a match with Tay Conti and was unable to breathe. The match was immediately stopped and Abadon was taken to hospital for further evaluation. The contest did not air on the October 29 Dynamite.
