'The Iron Claw' Trailer Released

Professional wrestling will return to the silver screen later this year with the release of 'The Iron Claw' by A24 on December 22, 2023 and the first trailer has been released. 

The movie will chronicle the rise and fall of the Von Erich Family with Zac Efron playing Kevin Von Erich, the only surviving brother. Fritz Von Erich was the patriarch of the family and the promoter of World Class Championship Wrestling, an NWA territory in Texas for much of the company's history.

When he passed away in 1996, Fritz was predeceased by five of his six sons. Jack Jr tragically passed away at the age of six after drowning in a puddle in 1959. David then died in a Tokyo hotel from enteritis before Mike, Chris, and Kerry all committed suicide. 

The official description of 'The Iron Claw' states: "The true story of the inseparable Von Erich brothers, who made history in the intensely competitive world of professional wrestling in the early 1980s. Through tragedy and triumph, under the shadow of their domineering father and coach, the brothers seek larger-than-life immortality on the biggest stage in sports."

Along with Zac Efron. The Bear's Jeremy Allen White will portray Kerry Von Erich, while MJF has been cast as Lance Von Erich.
