The Rock 'N' Roll Express Want To Face AEW's FTR

They faced off last year

Ricky Morton has revealed The Rock 'n' Roll Express want to face All Elite Wrestling's FTR.

The two teams had a brief interaction in the summer of 2020 during FTR's Tag Team Appreciation Night. Morton kicked off a brawl after punching Tully Blanchard and after a scuffle, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler decked the then 63-year-old with a Spike Piledriver.

Speaking about the moment on the Wrestle Buddy Podcast, Morton revealed he and Robert Gibson want to exact revenge on FTR and he expressed the legendary tag team's disappointment that AEW didn't follow up on the angle.

"Yeah [I've talked to AEW] but the doors are always open. I know on the independent circuit, Robert [Gibson] and I are fixing to wrestle FTR [Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler]. You know, I did a little thing on there [AEW Dynamite] where I slapped Tully Blanchard and remember they piledrived me? I don't know - see, that's what I'm talking about. They did this, but they didn't take it nowhere else," Morton said.

"Do you understand what I'm saying? You see, you got to have people in the back and say I learned this from Dusty Rhodes, smart guy man. You know, you got to keep up with what's going on in the news, especially - now you don't. It's just the liberals and all that bullsh*t and I'm not into that. But back then, you can't put what’s going on in the media and you're making it through the wrestling."

While Morton is now 65-years-old, The Rock 'n' Roll Express remain active on the independent wrestling scene and they recently faced The Blondes of Bollywood at WrestleCade.
