Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson revealed on Instagram last night that he, his wife and two daughters tested positive for COVID-19 two and a half weeks ago. The 10-time world champion noted they contracted the virus from "very close family friends." Symptoms were different throughout the family as The Rock's two daughters had a sore throat, while he and his wife Lauren had a "rough go."
Johnson noted it had been one of the most challenging things they have gone through as a family, but they are now "on the other side." He added that the family was "counting their blessings" after coming through largely unscathed unlike hundreds of thousands of other families.
To end the Instagram video, Johnson urged people to be disciplined and to boost their immune system to help combat the virus. He also encouraged people to wear a face mask because "it is the right thing to do and it's the responsible thing to do. Not only for yourself or your family and your loved ones, but also for your fellow human beings."
