The issue of 'one more match' always arises for the WWE Superstars of yesteryear. It feels like each and every time we see them in an interview of some kind, they're answering questions about whether they want to step back into a wrestling ring for one more run. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is the latest great (one) to fuel speculation about a sensational return, as he spoke with Cathy Kelley of WWE.com on the red carpet in New York City ahead of the premiere of his new movie, Skyscraper.

The People's Champion said that he "can't wait to get back in a WWE ring," before telling of how it's a question that never goes away.

"Everybody always asks me 'what's it like being in a WWE ring?' and I always tell them, I always tell everybody, there's nothing like it.

"There's nothing like it inside a WWE ring because there's a certain live crowd acumen, there's great connective tissue that is second to none and that always will be the best part of my job when it comes to wrestling - whether I'm actually wrestling a match, or just giving a promo."

Should he actually make a return to the squared circle, it would be the first time we've seen The Rock on WWE's programming in just about two years. In terms of wrestling a match - if you set that brief altercation with Erick Rowan at WrestleMania 32 aside - we haven't seen The Great One go one-on-one with anyone since his second 'Once In A Lifetime' match with John Cena at WrestleMania 29.

During his interview with Kelley, Rocky made it clear just how special New York is to him since he made his WWE debut inside Madison Square Garden at Survivor Series 1996. With WrestleMania 35 taking place inside MetLife Stadium next April, you just never know...
