The Rock Says 'There Might Be' More Matches For Him Following WWE WrestleMania 40

The Rock might have more matches in WWE following WrestleMania 40

The Rock made his competitive in-ring return at WWE WrestleMania 40 Night One, with ‘The Great One’ and Roman Reigns triumphing over Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in the main event.

Rock was also a major factor in the main event clash between Reigns and Rhodes on Mania Night Two, and during the Night One post-show press conference, Rock hinted that he may have more matches in store.

There are several big money bouts on the table for Rock, with singles matches against Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins all logical conclusions after the events of WrestleMania XL. There are also potential singles matches against old rivals CM Punk and John Cena should WWE and Rock want to take those particular routes.

Prior to WrestleMania XL, Rock’s last match was a six-second squash of Erick Rowan at WWE WrestleMania 32 in 2016, whereas his last competitive match was the main event WWE Championship match against Cena at WrestleMania XXIX in 2013.

Now back in the WWE fold with his position on TKO’s Board of Directors, it seems likely that Rock appearances on WWE TV will be more of a sure thing than at any point in the previous decade. Rock however is set for several major projects outside of WWE in 2024.
