The Rock To Appear On WWE SmackDown Next Week

The Rock returned to Friday Night SmackDown two weeks ago to follow up on his heel turn, which took place at the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff event in Las Vegas. He declared his allegiance to The Bloodline and the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, and called out the likes of Cody Rhodes. 

Last night on X, WWE announced that The Rock would be back on SmackDown once again next week, this time on the March 1 episode in Glendale, Arizona at the Desert Diamond Arena. This will be the first episode of SmackDown since Elimination Chamber 2024 in Perth, Australia, and will likely feature all of the fallout on the blue brand side of things from the premium live event. Cody Rhodes challenged The Rock to a future singles match at Elimination Chamber. 

Original plans reportedly called for Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns and The Rock at WrestleMania 40 but those plans may well have changed if Elimination Chamber is anything to go by. Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title is still scheduled for the main event of WrestleMania 40.
