The Undertaker: Batista Felt Slighted By WWE WrestleMania 23 Main Event Snub
John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels went on last instead

The rivalry between The Undertaker and Batista over the World Heavyweight Championship was one of WWE's featured programmes in 2007 and the two stars would face off on several occasions throughout the year.
The feud between The Phenom and The Animal ultimately began after 'Taker won the 2007 Royal Rumble and he would challenge Batista for the World Title at WrestleMania 23
Both men had a very good match at The Showcase Of The Immortals, one which the champion largely dominated until The Undertaker came back and decked Batista with a Tombstone to win the gold and keep the streak alive.
The match wasn't the main event, though, with that honour going to John Cena and Shawn Michaels' WWE Title match, and The Undertaker revealed on The Bump that Batista felt slighted by the main event snub.
"We really did have a good match. Batista had a chip on his shoulder. He wanted to go out and steal the show. He was the champion going into that match and he felt slighted that we weren't in the main event. He was so motivated to go out there and steal the show. It was a lot of fun. I think that was one of his better matches and not just because of me but because of the motivation that he had," Undertaker said.
"He was so in-tune and I remember coming back through the curtain after it was all over and he came back. I remember him yelling out in Gorilla, 'Follow that!' And I was thinking to myself, that's cool, but you know, Shawn's still got to work."
Batista would ultimately main event three WrestleManias during his WWE career at WrestleMania 21, 26 and 30.
