The Undertaker Discusses WWE WrestleMania XXX Loss To Brock Lesnar

The Deadman appeared on The Broken Skull Sessions podcast

At WrestleMania XXX, The Undertaker's streak of 21 wins without a loss at the Showcase Of The Immortals came to an end, after suffering a third F5 from Brock Lesnar.

Appearing on The Broken Skull Sessions with Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Deadman opened up for the first time about the eventful day. He admitted he can't remember anything between 3:30pm and 4:30am, such was the severity of the concussion.

He explained: "My last memory I can definitively tell you happened about 3:30 in the afternoon when my wife came backstage and we had a conversation. That's the last thing that I remember on my own of that day...

"My memory picks up 4:30, five in the morning when I'm in the hospital, and they're coming to check on me every few minutes, asking me my name. And I've got no clue. I walked back and went through Gorilla, sat down and then next thing I remember is I’m in the hospital and there are doctors and nurses coming in every five minutes. The only thing I remembered was my wife’s first name."

The former WWE champion also discussed how it affected his confidence inside the squared circle. He said, "That screwed up my confidence. You’d think after a 25 year plus career where you’ve seen every situation, you don’t get shook up. That is a false belief. Even though I trained and was in shape, I don’t think my body was ready for the trauma.

"So the simplest of bumps, the only thing I can figure, it rung my bell. It ate me up for a while. But I was like no, I’m not going to go out in my last match and not be able to remember it.”
