The Young Bucks Reveal Their Pride At Kazuchika Okada's AEW Run

The Young Bucks couldn't be happier with Kazuchika Okada in AEW

Kazuchika Okada was one of AEW’s biggest acquisitions in 2024, signing with the promotion following a lengthy stay in NJPW where he became one of the most successful stars in the history of the Japanese company. Okada turned heel on his first night as an official AEW wrestler, siding with The Young Bucks and joining a new-look Elite faction. His comedic work as a heel has been something that has been a hit with many fans, and The Young Bucks recently revealed that they couldn’t be prouder of the AEW Continental Champion’s versatility since debuting.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated, both Matthew and Nicholas Jackson gushed over Okada’s contributions to AEW thus far.

“Okada has come to AEW and completely stepped out of his comfort zone. I couldn’t be prouder to see him trying new things and learning a new style. He’s a movie star with perfect timing, an unbelievable sense of humor, and he just so happens to be the greatest wrestler alive. I can tell you while he doesn’t exactly prefer being in these types of matches, he’s certainly having a damn good time. It would’ve been so easy to just come here and rely on the things he’s already known for. I’m so proud of him and his versatility.” said Matthew.

Nicholas would continue this sentiment by stating that Okada was great at adapting and doing things on the fly, also noting how much fun it has been working with him. The Bucks also commented on Jack Perry's unprotected chair shot at Blood & Guts, providing an update on his condition.
