A star of All Elite Wrestling has made their return, but not on any of AEW's TV shows.

Ring of Honor held a set of TV tapings at the Esports Arena in Arlington, Texas on Sunday night and the show featured the Dark Order beating down Dustin Rhodes only one day after Rhodes and the Von Erichs won the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Titles.

Rhodes was down until Sammy Guevara made his surprise return in Ring of Honor and the three-time AEW TNT Champion headed to the ring and took out Dark Order to make the save for Dustin. Rhodes was initially wary of Guevara due to their historic issues in All Elite Wrestling but Dustin eventually shook Guevara's hand and the two men embraced.

Guevara had been away from both of Tony Khan's promotions since February, having been suspended following his No DQ Match against Jeff Hardy at the February 14 taping of AEW Rampage. Guevara's suspension came to an end in May and he had simply been off TV since then, with it emerging in recent weeks that "outside-the-box" plans were being considered for Guevara and his return was being openly discussed within AEW.

Guevara noted last week that he and Tay Melo were training for their in-ring returns.

"Just wanna say this mama right here is doing such a great job. We are both training for our comebacks and I wish yall could see how much work she puts in. Some days are harder than others but she has been killing it, all while being a great mom and wife! She doesn't give herself the credit so just wanna say you are doing great mama & we all can't wait for your return. @taymelo," Guevara tweeted.
