Young Bucks at Wrestle Dynasty

The Young Bucks are back in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and no sooner did they return to the Tokyo Dome than they left it with gold around their waists after winning the IWGP Tag Team Titles.

Matthew and Nicholas Jackson took on United Empire’s Great-O-Khan & Jeff Cobb and LIJ’s Tetsuya Naito & Hiromu Takahashi for the vacant belts at Wrestle Dynasty, the first time The Bucks had wrestled in a New Japan ring since Wrestle Kingdom 13 in January 2019.

The match was an entertaining affair and saw The Young Bucks pick up the win following a Tony Khan Driver to Great-O-Khan. This came only moments after O-Khan prevented the Bucks from pinning Tetsuya Naito following an EVP Trigger. Post-match, The Young Bucks announced they were going to go and make love to their wives.

With the win at Wrestle Dynasty, The Young Bucks became two-time IWGP Tag Team Champions. They previously held the belts for 113 days in 2018. The Bucks are also seven-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions.

For Great-O-Khan this was another bitter slap in the face, with O-Khan having had to vacate the IWGP Tag Team Titles in December 2024 when partner HENARE came down with an injury.
