Thunder Rosa Unsure When She Will Return To AEW
Thunder Rosa's AEW return is still up in the air
We haven’t seen Thunder Rosa on AEW TV since August, with the AEW Women’s World Champion currently out of action rehabbing a back injury.
Reports of Thunder Rosa’s recovery have been scant, but Rosa herself has given an update, saying the following on Instagram Live:
"Shoutout to all the AEW women’s division. You guys are doing great, but I’m getting better. Time is coming. I’m coming back soon,” said Rosa. “I know you guys are really eager to know when I’m coming back. The news will come later. I’m sorry, I don’t have a timeline. I just wanna thank everyone for being so happy to see me and asking to come back."
In Thunder Rosa’s absence, Toni Storm has reigned as interim AEW Women’s World Champion, and is set to put the title on the line against Jamie Hayter at Full Gear on November 19.
Rosa is still in possession of the lineal AEW Women’s World Championship, and unless plans change Rosa will be set for a title unification match upon her return, whenever that may be.
