WWE have announced that beloved referee Tim White is set to be the recipient of the Warrior Award at this year’s upcoming Hall of Fame ceremony.

Joining the WWE in 1985, White would serve as Andre the Giant’s travel partner and assistant, as well as officiating some of the biggest matches in WWE history, with White notably marshalling the action during the infamous Hell in a Cell match between Mankind and The Undertaker at King of the Ring 1998.

Injuries would see White end his refereeing career in 2004, but he remained with WWE in a backstage role before being released in 2009. White would go on to work with WWE on an ad-hoc basis, and would often organise security for WWE Superstars during autograph and meet-and-greet sessions.

White was also known for his work with The Godfather during the Attitude Era, and would often dance with Godfather's ‘hos’ post-match.

In June 2022, White would pass away due to health issues, and his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame is a fitting tribute to one of the most popular referees in American pro-wrestling history. White will join Rey Mysterio, The Great Muta, Stacy Keibler, and Andy Kaufman in the 2023 WWE Hall of Fame.
