Title Change On WWE NXT

New champion crowned on WWE NXT

A title change took place on the February 27, 2024 edition of WWE NXT.

One of the featured matches on the show saw Noam Dar defend the NXT Heritage Cup against Charlie Dempsey. The two competitors were tied at one fall apiece in the closing stages but No Quarter Catch Crew soon got involved, taking out Meta-Four's Oro Mensah before Damon Kemp and Drew Gulak attacked Noam Dar. The champion managed to fend them off but he only walked straight into a Dragon Suplex from Charlie Dempsey as William Regal's son won his first championship in WWE.

Noam Dar has held the NXT Heritage Cup on and off since July 2022. His third reign ended at 189 days.

Following his title win, Charlie Dempsey said in an NXT Digital Exclusive: "This cup right here means more than any world title here. Ever since I signed to WWE three years ago as part of NXT UK, I've had my eyes on this cup. I finally did. I'm finally the Heritage Cup Champion. Three years in the making, and I've got it."

Dempsey has received a renewed push in 2024 and he even began the year in All Japan Pro-Wrestling, unsuccessfully challenging Katsuhiko Nakajima for the AJPW Triple Crown Championship.
