IMPACT Wrestling have confirmed that a Knockouts Title Eliminator Tournament is set for the upcoming Knockouts Knockdown 2021 IMPACT Plus special on October 9.

The title will feature eight women facing off for a future shot at the Knockouts Title, currently held by Deonna Purrazzo, with Gail Kim announcing on this week’s edition of IMPACT Wrestling that the brackets will consist of four IMPACT contracted wrestlers, and four wrestlers from outside of the promotion.

The competitors for the tournament have yet to be announced by IMPACT, but Gail Kim had previously revealed that the likes of Lady Frost, Renee Michelle and Mercedes Martinez would be set to appear on the show.

The angle of ‘contracted stars vs indie performers’ has been present at previous Knockouts Knockdown events, with this year’s edition set to be the first Knockouts Knockdown special since 2017, and is set to be the sixth in the series overall.

IMPACT have already taped the special back on September 17, and spoilers can be found here.
