A tweet from TNA Wrestling was deleted and uploaded with a different caption on Monday night after the promotion faced a backlash from within the industry and fans.

In promoting a video of Tessa Blanchard walking through Los Angeles which began with her gazing upon the Hollywood sign, TNA wrote: "28. Diamante. #TNAVIP."

The tweet immediately received criticism from fans, who pointed out that the term 'diamante' was already in use within pro wrestling by All Elite Wrestling's Diamante, who even previously wrestled for TNA in 2017. Diamante herself replied to the tweet with an image of her trademark for the term.

TNA ultimately deleted the original tweet and re-uploaded it, changing diamante to an emoji of a diamond. Diamante ultimately means diamond in Spanish.

Tessa Blanchard has been a controversial figure within pro wrestling since allegations of bullying and racism were made against her in 2020. Blanchard was fired by TNA later that year but returned to the company in late 2024. "She's a racist" chants have become a common occurrence during Blanchard's matches.
