Max Caster is already finished with TNA Wrestling, with the promotion announcing on Monday night that the former AEW World Tag Team Champion would no longer be wrestling for TNA after Caster referenced airstrikes on Riyadh airport during his pre-match rap in his TNA debut at the Bound for Glory pay-per-view.
TNA issued the following statement:
"During Sunday's Bound For Glory pay-per-view, insensitive comments were made by Max Caster referencing attacks in Riyadh that killed and injured many people.
"Making light of violent attacks is wrong. This should never have made it into the show, and that responsibility is ours. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and everyone affected. We sincerely apologize.
"We have removed the segment from replays and our social channels and are taking steps to ensure something like this never happens again.
"Max Caster will no longer be wrestling for TNA."
Clips featuring Max Caster have been deleted from TNA's social media channels and Max Caster vs. Moose has been removed from the replay of Bound for Glory, with the pay-per-view now moving directly from a backstage promo from Frankie Kazarian to Syx vs. The Hardys.
Max Caster made his TNA debut at Bound for Glory as he answered Moose's open challenge, with Caster's debut being made official two days before the event that took place on Sunday, October 11. Caster lost to Moose after an 11-minute match.
Ahead of TNA's official statement, reports from False Finish and Fightful Select noted that Caster had drawn heat over his comments about airstrikes on Riyadh airport, with Caster in his rap saying, "And it’s the firing squad. I drop bombs. You don’t even have to fly to Riyadh." Caster's rap also included references to glory holes, speech impediments, and baldness.
False Finish reported that TNA had plans to use Caster at their post-Bound for Glory TV tapings, with Caster signed to a per-appearance deal as opposed to a full-time contract. Fightful Select noted that sources within TNA claimed Caster's line about Riyadh airport was not scripted or approved.
Max Caster previously garnered heat for his pre-match raps during his run in All Elite Wrestling from 2020 until his deal expired on October 1, 2026. This included Caster being briefly put on ice by the company in 2021 after a rap taped for AEW Dark mentioned Simone Biles' mental health, fake PCR COVID-19 tests, and rape accusations against the Duke University men's lacrosse team. The rap was edited out of the episode of Dark. AEW CEO Tony Khan described the rap as "terrible" and took over editing of Dark and Dark: Elevation.
Caster's comments about geopolitics also had to be edited out of AEW broadcasts, notably in February 2022 when he called Orange Cassidy "as popular as Vladimir Putin." The line was removed from the broadcast as Putin had just ordered Russian forces to invade Ukraine.
The Houthis in Yemen have launched airstrikes against Saudi Arabia, in particular Riyadh airport, over the past week due to the escalation in the Yemen civil war that had been largely dormant for four years until July 2026. A Saudi Arabia-led coalition backs the UN-recognised Yemeni government, while the Houthis are backed by Iran, with the escalation taking place amid the ongoing US-Iran war that began in February 2026.
Airstrikes against Riyadh airport on Thursday, October 8, resulted in one death and eight people being wounded. Further strikes were carried out over the weekend, with 13 people killed and hundreds wounded. Attacks on the airport on Sunday resulted in one person dead and a dozen injured.
