TNA Talents Expected To Work WWE NXT Number One Contender's Battle Royal

A new number one contender for the NXT Championship will be determined on this coming Tuesday’s episode of NXT, with a 25-man battle royal set to take place. It was teased last week that the battle royal would feature names from outside promotions, leading to many assuming that this meant further crossover with TNA.

A report from Fightful Select has revealed that those in NXT are expecting TNA talents to be involved in the match, though it is noted that the specific wrestlers from TNA will be a decision made closer to the time. It is said though that the “majority of participants” have been locked in. It won’t just be TNA talent featuring, but inquiries were also made about some main roster wrestlers from RAW and SmackDown too.

The relationship between WWE and TNA has been gradually building over the last couple of months, with Jordynne Grace recently challenging Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship at the NXT Battleground event, and Tatum Paxley answering Grace’s TNA Knockouts World Championship open challenge at the TNA Against All Odds special.
