The sudden departure of Scott D’Amore from TNA Wrestling is likely to have long lasting repercussions that will reverberate throughout the wrestling world, with D’Amore’s firing on February 7 said to have been an unpopular decision with many of TNA’s contracted talents.

Many TNA talents took to social media to give their thanks to D’Amore, with D’Amore having been in the driving seat of the promotion as it rebuilt and eventually reverted back to the TNA Wrestling name from IMPACT.

Taking to X/Twitter, TNA World Champion Moose said he was “lost for words”, whilst TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace called D’Amore the “heart and soul of TNA” and claimed he was “irreplaceable”.

Others such as former TNA World Champions Josh Alexander and Steve Maclin, and former Knockouts World Champion Trinity amongst many others paid their respects to the former President, whilst long-time former TNA ring announcer David Penzer claimed that without D’Amore “Impact/TNA would be a video library probably owned by WWE”.

Whilst feelings about D’Amore’s departure are still raw and come just after a successful relaunch of the TNA brand, it is believed that TNA will meet with unhappy talents on a case-by-case basis should they wish for their release.
