TNT Champion Darby Allin Vs. Jungle Boy Added To AEW Dynamite

Third straight Dynamite with a TNT title defense

After outlasting Matt Hardy in a falls count anywhere match on Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, Darby Allin will be in action once again on this coming week's Dynamite, defending his gold against Jungle Boy.

The match was made after Allin tweeted Tony Khan, and asked him to select any contender from the present top five. Those contenders included Adam Page, Jon Moxley, Jungle Boy, Cody Rhodes, and Powerhouse Hobbs.

AEW tweeted, "The @AEWonTNT Champion called for any Top 5 contender in a title match on Dynamite & AEW GM @TonyKhan has booked a top challenger! TNT Champion @DarbyAllin will defend the title vs. the unbeaten #3 ranked wrestler in AEW: Jungle Boy on #AEWDynamite on TNT Wednesday 8pm ET/7pm CT!"

Allin has reigned as champion since November 7. He has made seven successful defenses of the championship since then.

Jungle Boy previously challenged for the title on the June 3, 2020 edition of Dynamite, losing to champion Cody Rhodes.

The current card for Wednesday night's episode of Dynamite includes the following:

* AEW TNT title: Darby Allin (c) vs. Jungle Boy

* AEW Women's title: Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Tay Conti

* Christian Cage vs. Powerhouse Hobbs

* Adam "Hangman" Page vs. Ricky Starks

* Trent vs. Penta El Zero Miedo
