Tommaso Ciampa Wins NXT Championship On WWE NXT 2.0 Relaunch

Ciampa is reunited with Goldie!

Tommaso Ciampa has become the new NXT Champion!

The Blackheart of NXT has kicked off a new era in the brand's history by reclaiming the Championship he never lost, winning a Fatal 4-Way Match for the vacated Title after Samoa Joe was forced to relinquish the strap due to injury earlier this week.

Ciampa claimed victory in a match also featuring LA Knight, Pete Dunne and the debuting Von Wagner - who replaced the originally billed Kyle O'Reilly after he was attacked earlier in the night by Dunne and Ridge Holland - hitting the Fairytale Ending on Knight for the pin.

The victory marks Ciampa's second reign with the NXT Championship. He was forced to give up the title on the March 20, 2019 episode of NXT due to injury, bringing an end to his first reign at 237 days.

The match between Ciampa, Knight, Dunne and O'Reilly had originally been advertised as a number one contender's bout to Samoa Joe, but WWE changed the stipulation in the wake of Joe's injury and subsequent relinquishing of the Championship.
