Toni Storm Debut Vignette Airs On WWE SmackDown

Another call-up for the blue brand

To go along with the debut of Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox on WWE SmackDown, a vignette aired on Friday night, hyping the debut of Toni Storm.

No official date was announced for Storm's debut appearance, but noted that she's coming soon to SmackDown.

Storm wrestled in two dark matches over the past week, facing Blackheart last Friday night prior to SmackDown, and against Nox before Raw on Monday.

Storm has been a regular part of NXT over the past nine months. She challenged for the NXT Women's title on two occasions earlier in 2021, falling short both times to champion Io Shirai.

Storm is a former NXT UK Women's champion, having defeated Rhea Ripley for the title in January of 2019. She held the title for seven and a half months before dropping it to Kay Lee Ray that August. She also won the 2018 Mae Young Classic, defeating Shirai in the finals.

Recently on NXT, Storm cut a promo on current Women's champion Raquel Gonzalez. She also blew off a challenge from Sarray, seemingly hinting toward a program between the two.
