Toni Storm Regains AEW Women's Title At Double Or Nothing

The first ever two-time AEW Women's champion

Toni Storm is the new AEW Women's champion, after defeating Jamie Hayter in a matter of minutes at Double or Nothing on Sunday night in Las Vegas.

Hayter (who came into the match with a legitimate shoulder injury) was attacked by Saraya and Ruby Soho before she even made her entrance. Hayter insisted on competing, leading to a relatively abbreviated match with lots of interference. Both Britt Baker and Hikaru Shida interfered to neutralize Saraya and Soho at different points.

The end came after Hayter only got a two-count off of her Hayterade ripcord clothesline. She tried for Hayterade again, only to get sent into an exposed turnbuckle shoulder first, after which Storm followed with her Storm Zero piledriver to win.

The win makes Storm the first ever two-time AEW Women's champion. She first reigned as champion between September 4 and November 19 of last year, winning the title that had been vacated by Thunder Rosa due to injury.

Hayter's reign ends after 190 days. She won the title from Storm at Full Gear on November 19 in Newark, NJ.
