Tony Chimel has announced he is no longer with All Elite Wrestling, but he was positive about his experience working for Tony Khan's promotion.

"I always had a good time there. They're a little smaller operation and run things a little differently, but the people there are nice. I knew a lot of WWE people there that are there now. It was a nice little run that I had there. Very grateful for the time I had there. They do their thing the way they want to do their thing," Chimel told All Axxess Entertainment.

Chimel had been a part of AEW since 2023 and he was very much a jack-of-all-trades in the promotion, from mentoring ring announcers to assisting with marketing. There were talks about Chimel appearing on AEW TV to announce an entrance, but he ultimately never made an appearance.

Chimel was previously a part of WWE from 1991 until his release in 2020. He served as the ring announcer on SmackDown from 1999 until 2007 and became famous for his introduction of Edge as the 'Rated R Superstar.'
