Tony Khan: Bryan Danielson Is Still The AEW World Title Number One Contender

Danielson wrestled Page in a 60-minute draw last week

Tony Khan has confirmed that Bryan Danielson is still the number one contender to the AEW World Championship after his time-limit draw with champion 'Hangman' Adam Page.

Danielson and Page put on an immense match at AEW Winter Is Coming last Wednesday, wrestling to a 60-minute time-limit draw in the opening bout of the show.

While it appeared 'Hangman' had his challenger beat in the closing moments of the bout, the champion was unable to roll Danielson over for a pin, meaning no winner was declared.

AEW President Khan has since revealed that fans can expect a rematch between Page and Danielson, saying the former WWE talent is still next in line for another Title match.

"I'm excited for what's coming next for Hangman Page and Bryan Danielson. It's far from over. Bryan Danielson is still the number one contender. This is far from over. Bryan Danielson and Hangman Page is a rematch I've very excited to see," Khan said on Busted Open Radio.

It is not yet known when Page and Danielson will meet again.
