Tony Khan full of praise for Matt Menard & Angelo Parker
It’s been a whirlwind year for 2point0. After being released by WWE NXT in June 2021, the former Ever-Rise made their way to AEW, and are now part of one of the most prominent acts in the company with The Jericho Appreciation Society.
Matt Menard and Angelo Parker’s rise has certainly left an impression on AEW President Tony Khan, who praised the pair during a recent appearance on Barstool Rasslin:
“They are two of the most improved wrestlers in the world,” Khan said. “What a great year, Parker and Menard have had. Those guys are really, really great wrestlers and I’m excited to see - honestly, they have the ability to be great wrestlers, but this year we’ve seen them transcend it and become also great sports entertainers. It’s taken Menard and Parker to another level of being with [Chris] Jericho.”
The pair have become cult favourites during their AEW run, featuring in massive matches such as Blood & Guts II, as well as clashes with Sting & Darby Allin, and their upcoming match with HOOK & Action Bronson at AEW Rampage Grand Slam 2022.
