Tony Khan Completes Purchase Of ROH

Tony Khan now officially owns Ring of Honor

Despite reaching a deal to purchase Ring of Honor at the beginning of March, Tony Khan confirmed on May 4th that the deal has only just been fully completed.

Khan casually dropped the fact into a Tweet promoting the May 4 edition of Dynamite, saying:

"It’s Wednesday, you know what that means: #AEWDynamite LIVE on @TBSNetwork @ 8pm ET/7pm CT TONIGHT! It’s a stacked card + my 1st day as @ringofhonor owner (the sale just closed), & we’ll crown an undisputed ROH Women’s World Champion! Thank you everyone watching Dynamite Tonight!”

Khan announced live on the March 2 edition of AEW: Dynamite that he had finalised a deal to purchase Ring of Honor, with Khan subsequently booking and producing ROH Supercard of Honor 2022 on April 1, and featuring ROH storylines and titles on AEW television.

With the deal finalised, Khan’s purchase ends the almost 11 year stewardship of Ring of Honor by the Sinclair Broadcast Group, with the telecommunications conglomerate announcing their purchase of the indie promotion back on May 21 2011.
