Tony Khan is confident All Elite Wrestling will be unaffected by the impending split of Warner Bros. Discovery.
"We have great relationships with everybody at the top, both on global networks and streaming and studios. Mr. Zaslav [CEO David Zaslav] himself put our deal together. Gunnar [CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels], who will be running global networks, also was very involved in our deal," Khan told Yahoo Finance.
It emerged in June that Warner. Bros Discovery would split, with the separation expected to be completed in mid-2026. A streaming & studios company headed by David Zaslav will consist of WBD's movie properties and HBO MAX, while a global networks organisation will be made up of WBD's TV and sports brands, including CNN, TNT Sports, Discovery, and Bleacher Report. Gunnar Wiedenfels will be the President and CEO of Global Networks.
AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery have worked together since 2019. The two sides renewed their partnership in late 2024, with a three-year deal worth $555 million taking effect at the beginning of 2025.
