Tony Khan on The Trustbusters

TV time is at a premium in All Elite Wrestling due to the promotion's stacked roster and AEW President Tony Khan's use of that TV time has been criticised in recent weeks due to The Trustbusters being placed in featured spots on Rampage, with the faction having main evented the last two editions of the Friday night show.
Khan seemingly hasn't taken too kindly to the criticism, though, and he replied to a one-week-old tweet about The Trustbusters from F4W Online's Josh Nason on Friday, writing: "Coming less than 48 hours off of maybe the best @AEWonTV show we've ever done out of a few hundred + given it's an #AEWRampage Friday, I feel emboldened to point out that in 2021, I got very similar reactions for strapping the TV rocket to Garcia/2.0, and in 2020 to The Acclaimed."
Daniel Garcia, 2point0, and The Acclaimed have all become popular acts in All Elite Wrestling, and Matt Menard and Angelo Parker recently signed new deals with the promotion.
The Trustbusters is composed of former WWE talents Ari Daivari and Parker Boudreaux, as well as Slim J and Sonny Kiss. The faction have been on TV together for less than one month, having aligned on the August 2 episode of Dark. Sonny Kiss joined the group on August 12 after she turned heel.
