Tony Khan On WWE/WBD Rumours: Its A Part Of Sports

Tony Khan says WWE talking to WBD is just a part of sports

There has been plenty of talk in recent months when it comes to the negotiations for new TV deals for both WWE and AEW. Rumours have been rumbling on the potential of Monday Night RAW moving over to WBD, which put into question the future that AEW’s Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision have on TNT and TBS. Tony Khan has been asked about this a few times, and has been approached on the subject again during an interview on the Going Ringside podcast.

Khan revealed that by the end of 2024, we would know the future of AEW’s home on TV. He didn’t reveal any answers, but noted that WBD have been “great partners”, and that he is looking forward to the future. Khan also made comments about the potential discussions between WWE and WBD, but he put it down to just being a part of the sporting world.

“It's part of sports. I mean, I think everybody discusses contracts and free agency and things of that nature. You know, I think everybody's aware that everybody's going to be talking to everybody in media this coming year. So there'll be certainly a lot of opportunities. And I think, you know, we've had a great history with Warner Brothers Discovery [and] continued to produce great ratings. So I think we'll be in a very good position next year."

AEW have been with WBD since day one of their TV journey, now airing five hours of weekly content on TNT and TBS.
