Tony Khan Provides Brief Update On Kyle O'Reilly's Recovery From Neck Injury

Tony Khan has given an update on Kyle O’Reilly’s condition

The road to recovery is a long one, and we’re still not sure when we’ll see Kyle O’Reilly back in a wrestling ring.

The former Ring of Honor World Champion has been out since June 2022 with a neck injury, undergoing fusion surgery in September 2022. When asked about O’Reilly’s condition, ROH and AEW President Tony Khan said the following about ‘The Violent Artist’ on the In the Kliq podcast:

“He’s been doing better. Hopefully, we’ll look forward to getting him back but it’s a number of injuries and a tough recovery and really, really miss him and hopefully he’ll be back with us in AEW soon,” said Khan.

O’Reilly last wrestled on the June 8 edition of AEW Dynamite, losing to Jon Moxley in singles action. O’Reilly debuted for AEW in December 2021, 12 days after his WWE contract expired.

In WWE NXT, O’Reilly was part of the Undisputed Era where he reigned as NXT Tag Team Champion on three occasions. He is also a one-time Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Champion, and a two-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion with reDRagon partner Bobby Fish.
