Tony Khan Reveals When He Learned Jon Moxley Was Entering Into An Alcohol Treatment Program

Tony Khan has opened up on discussions with Jon Moxley and Renee Paquette about the decision for Moxley to enter into an inpatient alcohol treatment program.

AEW President Khan shared with the wrestling world that Moxley was putting himself into the program to seek help, with the wrestling community showing an outpour of support for the former AEW World Champion. 

Khan was interviewed on Wrestling Observer Live this week but, when Bryan Alvarez noted that the conversation was coming after unfortunate circumstances, Khan said: "I think it’s good circumstances. It’s a good thing that Jon is doing, and it’s a brave thing and we’re all here to support him."

Khan would then reveal that he was told of Moxley's decision in the last couple of days and it was one that had the AEW boss' full support.

"It was just in the past couple days. I’ve been talking to him and Renee. Renee has been talking to him, and Renee spoke to us and said they both thought this was the best way to go. From talking to both of them, we completely agree. 

"Some things are more important than wrestling, and in this case, as a wrestling company, the most important thing we can do is support Jon and his recovery.”
