Tony Khan Says AEW Collision Locker Room In A Much Better Place Than Last Year

Tony Khan has praised the state of the AEW Collision locker-room in 2024

2024 has seen All Elite Wrestling attempting to ‘restore the feeling’ after a turbulent 2023, with AEW looking to get back to business after some controversial backstage incidents from All Out 2022 until All In 2023.

AEW President Tony Khan has commented on ‘the feeling’ of the company being restored over the past several months, and during the post-All In media scrum on August 25, Khan pointed to the harmony backstage during Collision tapings as an indicator of this:

“I frankly think it’s an easier environment backstage at Collision than it was a year ago to do things. I think it’s a lot easier flow between the two shows than it was a year ago. I think the locker room is in a much better place than it was a year ago. As evidenced by when we came up here versus what happened here a year ago. I think it’s a much easier job I have because I had to deal with the people on Collision last year and it’s a much easier meeting process to put the TV together than it was a year ago at this time,” said Khan.

Khan’s comments can be construed as jabs at CM Punk, with the mercurial former AEW World Champion believing to have had significant creative control on Collision, as well as being the focal point of the aforementioned incidents at All out 2022 and All In 2023.
