Mina Shirakawa celebrating as Aubrey Edwards looks shocked on May 14 episode of AEW Dynamite

Having finished up with World Wonder Ring STARDOM, Mina Shirakawa made her debut as a full-time wrestler in All Elite Wrestling on the Beach Break episode of Dynamite on May 14.

Shirakawa made her entrance for an AEW Women's World Title Eliminator to new theme music, something which was immediately heavily criticised by AEW fans on social media. Shirakawa went on to win the AEW Women's World Title Eliminator against Toni Storm, Skye Blue, and AZM by pinning Storm and Shirakawa's previous entrance music filled the NOW Arena in Chicago, Illinois after the match.

AEW CEO Tony Khan revealed on X/Twitter soon after that he changed back Mina Shirakawa's AEW theme upon seeing the negative fan reaction on social media.

Courtesy of her win, Mina Shirakawa will challenge Toni Storm for the AEW Women's World Championship at Double or Nothing on May 25. It emerged in recent days that Shirakawa was planned to receive an "immediate push" upon debuting as a full-time AEW talent.

Shirakawa previously wrestled for AEW on several occasions in 2024 as a STARDOM representative. Shirakawa announced in March 2025, however, that she was leaving STARDOM and had signed a full-time deal with All Elite Wrestling.
