Tony Khan Remaining Tight-Lipped On Daniel Bryan's AEW Status

Khan isn't revealing anything

Tony Khan is staying quiet on Bryan Danielson's All Elite Wrestling status.

It was reported last week that former WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan has "100% already signed" a contract with AEW and there are tentative plans for Danielson to debut at Dynamite: Grand Slam on September 22. CM Punk's possible AEW debut may have caused Danielson's plans to change, though.

The American Dragon reportedly wanted to work fewer dates for comparable money, the ability to wrestle in Japan and creative input on his character. All three conditions were accepted by AEW.

There has been no official confirmation of Danielson's signing from AEW and Tony Khan was tight-lipped when AAA's Konnan asked about the situation.

"I will tell you this because I did ask Tony Khan. The only reason I asked him is because I wanted to use Bryan Danielson in AAA. I was like, 'Hey man, have you signed Bryan Danielson?' He goes, 'You know I can't tell you that' and then I looked at him and I go 'bro, if that **** shows up in Chicago, that place is gonna melt', and he just smiled. So I think he might have but he has not told me," Konnan said on the Keepin' It 100 podcast.

Konnan could still have the opportunity to book Danielson as AEW have a working relationship with AAA. AEW talents Kenny Omega and The Lucha Brothers currently hold titles in the Mexican promotion.
