Just when it seemed the Inner Circle vs. Pinnacle war was slowing down, AEW has ramped it back up, with MJF’s Trials of Jericho. But that’s not all, as it seems the issues between FTR and Proud and Powerful (Santana and Ortiz) are set to continue with the two teams set to clash on this week’s AEW Dynamite.

Per a report from Fightful Select, it seems as though AEW has locked in plans all over the card, with a singles programme tentatively set for the fall. The report doesn’t mention who is set for the feud, but cites the example of FTR vs. Santana and Ortiz as indicative of AEW’s long-term booking plans going ahead as planned.

The report alleges that the upcoming tag match has been in the books for the Charlotte, North Carolina edition of Dynamite since May, and that other programmes, matches and feuds have indeed been booked well in advance. The COVID-19 pandemic altered plans somewhat, but apparently the majority of what AEW had hoped to achieve came through.
