Tony Khan Wants To Run A Women's Blood & Guts Match In AEW

A women’s Blood & Guts match in AEW a dream of Tony Khan’s

All Elite Wrestling’s women’s division is arguably the strongest it has ever been, with the company finally addressing one of its most prominent criticisms and giving more air time to the division.

There is still a lot of work to be done though, but one thing that could come to the division at some point is a women’s Blood & Guts match, with AEW President Tony Khan revealing his hopes for such a bout during a recent appearance on the Battleground podcast:

“At some point, it would be great to have a women’s Blood & Guts match. I think you need a lot of people tied in on [the] story, and a lot of healthy people,” Khan said. “We have a great roster that we’re building up, and I think our women’s roster is stronger than it’s ever been right now today. And I’m really excited about that. So if we ever get to the point where we’ve got enough people tied together and the story makes sense, I think it would be great.”

AEW have not shied away from promoting bloody brawls in the division, with the wars between Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa, and the recent brutal attack by Mariah May on Toni Storm coming to mind.

So far there have been three Blood & Guts matches in AEW history, with the fourth set for July 24.
