ROH World Championship Contenders Match Set For July 13 AEW Collision

AEW Collision to feature a ROH World Championship number one contenders match

We are several weeks away from Ring of Honor Death Before Dishonor, and although ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe has his hands full with the upcoming Blood & Guts IV match on July 24, he will have to get himself shipshape to defend the ROH title at the PPV.

On the upcoming July 13 edition of AEW Collision, Roderick Strong and Dalton Castle are set to face off in singles action for a shot at Briscoe, with the winner booking their spot at Death Before Dishonor. The match was pre-recorded on July 10, and if you want to know who won then click here.

Both men are former Ring of Honor World Champions, with Strong defeating Tyler Black for the belt at Glory by Honor IX in September 2010, whilst Castle’s solitary reign came after defeating Cody Rhodes at Final Battle 2017.

Briscoe is currently in the middle of his first reign with the championship, having defeated Eddie Kingston for the belt at Supercard of Honor in April 2024. Briscoe followed in the footsteps of older brother Jay, with the late elder Briscoe having reigned with the title on two occasions.

Updated card - ROH Death Before Dishonor XXI, July 26 2024:

  • Athena (c) vs. Queen Aminata - ROH Women’s World Championship
  • Billie Starkz (c) vs. Red Velvet - ROH Women’s World TV Championship
  • Mark Briscoe (c) vs. Dalton Castle or Roderick Strong - ROH World Championship
