Tony Schiavone Signs New AEW Deal

The veteran announcer remains ‘All Elite’

AEW’s Tony Schiavone has signed a contract with the company, with the legendary commentator rumoured to have signed through until 2024.

The news was revealed by Schiavone in conversation with Conrad Thompson on the What Happened When Podcast, when Thompson asked Schiavone if he’d be attending the Cauliflower Alley Club, despite it taking place on a Wednesday - the same day that AEW: Dynamite is broadcast:

“I'd like to think so. Do you know something I don’t?” Said Schiavone when asked if he’d be busy on a Wednesday.

"No, I just know your deal is coming up and they're probably tired of your bullshit," joked Thompson.

"No, I got an extension on there," claimed Schiavone.

Thompson further teased Schiavone, by insinuating that he could be announcing for ROH, IMPACT, MLW, or GCW, to which Schiavone set the record straight:

"Let me be very blunt. I'm doing AEW, motherf*****. If that ain't available, then I'll go back to doing something else, like I did for 18 years.”

Known for his legendary run as the voice of WCW, Schiavone joined AEW in 2019 on a three year deal. Schiavone also had a brief run with WWE in the late 1980s.
