‘Top Dolla’ AJ Francis: The Door Is Never Closed With WWE

Top Dolla and Hit Row were released by WWE in November 2021

No sooner had Hit Row been called up from NXT to WWE’s main roster, then they were let go, with the team of Top Dolla, Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott, Ashante Thee Adonis, and B-Fab released after a matter of weeks on main.

However, despite being out of the WWE, the group still is focused on working together, with Top Dolla aka AJ Francis saying to Ringsiders Wrestling:

“We really know, not just think, we know that we could have revolutionised the business as a whole as a group. Now, we're still in a position to be able to do that in a different avenue. Swerve was a star in wrestling before he got to WWE. I was a star outside of wrestling before I got to WWE. Now, we're able to attack all avenues instead of the same avenue but still work together.”

However, we’ve seen many instances in the past of released talent returning to WWE, and Francis knows this all too well:

"The door is never closed with WWE, either. People go and come back to WWE literally every year. The only problem is, how does it look the next time? Is it all four of us? One of us? Two of us? Three of us? None of us?”
