Top MLW Star Confirms Release Request

A former MLW Champion wants out

Major League Wrestling star Alex Hammerstone has confirmed that he requested his release from the promotion.

Writing on X, the former MLW Champion said:

"My time with @MLW was 5 of the best years of my life and career. Very proud of what I and the company accomplished. I wish them continued success. I have recently asked for my release as I feel it's what's right for me at this time. Thank you @courtbauer for the opportunities."

According to a report by Fightful Select, Hammerstone's MLW contract is set to run until the end of 2025. It added that MLW does not intend to grant his release at this time.

The 32-year-old has not wrestled for the company since July and is not currently scheduled for any upcoming events.

While MLW may not wish to grant Hammerstone his release, they have come to terms on the release of Samoan SWAT Team members Lance Anoa'i and Juicy Finau. The former MLW Tag Team Champions thanked the promotion in posts on social media.
