Top NJPW Star Wants To Wrestle On AEW TV

A match was teased with Darby Allin too

One of New Japan Pro-Wrestling's top stars wants to wrestle on one of All Elite Wrestling's TV shows in Dynamite, Collision, or Rampage.

Speaking with Sports Illustrated, IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi revealed he would love to appear on AEW TV and defend the title. He even mentioned Darby Allin as a possible opponent.

"A dream of mine is to have a match on live prime-time TV. I'd be stoked to wrestle in AEW any time and defend the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title there. Last year, I was supposed to team up with Darby Allin and Sting. So I want to team up with Sting rather than wrestle him. Wrestling someone? That would be Darby," Hiromu Takahashi said.

The Ticking Time Bomb was scheduled to team with Darby Allin, Sting, and Shingo Takagi at 2022's Forbidden Door as the Dudes with Attitudes but Hiromu was pulled from the match due to illness. Takahashi did compete at this year's Forbidden Door, teaming with Shingo and BUSHI to defeat Jeff Cobb, Kyle Fletcher and TJP.

While he hasn't appeared on AEW TV, Takahashi did make his return to Ring of Honor this year as he, Shingo, and BUSHI failed to defeat Brian Cage, Bishop Kaun, and Toa Liona for the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Titles.
