Top WWE NXT Star Out Of Action For Up To One Year Following Major Injury

A top WWE NXT star is expected to miss up to one year of action due to injury

WWE NXT are gearing up for their last major event of the year, with Deadline 2023 set for December 9. However, on the go-home edition of NXT TV, a change was announced for a match on the card due to injury.

Wes Lee was set to take on Dominik Mysterio for the North American Championship at Deadline, but has been ruled out due to a back injury. Lee appeared on NXT to confirm he will be missing the show, with Dominik Mysterio overjoyed by the news. It was then announced that Dragon Lee (no relation) will take Wes Lee’s spot in the match, with Rey Mysterio revealing the news via video.

Dragon Lee ended the segment by chasing Dominik off, as Vic Joseph revealed on commentary that Wes Lee will be out of action for eight to twelve months, as his injury will require surgery.
