Top WWE Star Possibly Returning From Injury At Royal Rumble

The 2025 WWE Royal Rumble takes place this weekend on February 1 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The show is already set to be a big deal, but could be even more noteworthy should a major sidelined Superstar make their return at the event.

According to a report by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE are hoping that AJ Styles will be cleared for an in-ring return in the Men's Royal Rumble Match. Styles is scheduled to be in Indianapolis this weekend for the event.

Styles' last return to WWE TV only lasted one match, a SmackDown bout against Carmelo Hayes last October. Styles has been out of action with an injury ever since.

Still, 2024 was a memorable year for the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion when he was able to compete, taking part in a well-received Undisputed WWE Title feud with Cody Rhodes. Their match at Backlash garnered a huge reaction from the fans in Lyon, France. Styles also made his Pro Wrestling NOAH debut, defeating Naomichi Marufuji.
